Wine with a PT Nerd

I just returned from the Stroll Happy Hour event. I so enjoyed meeting new people and they were kind enough to indulge me as I got all nerdy about physical therapy, health care, and my passion for creating change.
Every time people talk to me about health, someone shares a story about going to a provider with a complaint and not feeling heard, sometimes for years. Part of the problem is the system. When a primary care physician is allowed 15 minutes per patient, they basically have time to make sure you don't have a condition that threatens your life. That leaves very little time for them to work with you on issues and conditions that impact your quality of life.
As a physical therapist that doesn't work with insurance I feel fortunate to be able to meet with my clients/patients for a minimum of an hour. I want to hear about what is affecting your quality of life. Do you have pain, joint stiffness? Does gravity just feel heavier than it used to? I want to know. I want to help you figure it out. Even if I'm not the answer,
I want to help you find the answer
